Who it is for

People Working While The City Sleeps

Surviving Sane Counselling works with adults whose hours disturb sleep, mood, family life or the ability to recover. The work is narrow on purpose.

  • NHS staff moving between days, nights and long shifts.
  • Care workers and emergency service staff carrying fatigue home.
  • Port workers, drivers, security staff and factory operatives on unsocial hours.
  • Hospitality night staff and food production workers around Hull.
  • Partners and parents trying to stay connected around a rota.

How booking works

From Suitability Call To Rota-Matched Sessions

01

Email The Practice

Send your shift pattern, preferred appointment windows, online or in person preference, and a short note about what help is wanted.

02

Free 20 Minute Call

A brief telephone suitability call checks fit, limits and whether counselling is the right next step.

03

Choose The Format

Book a standard session, an early or late session, a six-session shift pattern block, or a sleep and rota review.

04

Pay And Hold The Slot

Payment by bank transfer is due no later than 24 hours before each session. Appointments can be booked up to 8 weeks ahead; changes need at least 24 hours notice, except for illness or emergency service call-out.

Current availability

First paid appointments are usually within 7 to 14 days.

Next late appointment release: Tuesday and Thursday evening starts for the next 8 weeks are opened first to current shift workers with published rotas.

This is not crisis cover, occupational health certification or a diagnosis service. It is careful counselling for adults living with the emotional strain of irregular work.
